Description: Our Technical Services Department is responsible for delivering its services to a wide range of clients. These include small works and basic maintenance contracts to large tendered electrical reactive, cyclical and planned maintenance term service contracts for local government. Our Technical Services department can provide a range of key facilities management solutions including test & inspection, fire alarm, emergency lighting, security, electrical/datacomms system maintenance, small installations & upgrades, and reactive call-outs.

Description: Darke & Taylor Ltd were contracted to supply and install the electrical, telecoms, data and wireless systems for the new Golden Lane Campus. This is one of London’s best teaching and learning environments, comprising of a children’s centre, a 420-place primary school and the primary department of a special school for 30 pupils. The data and telecoms solution was designed around two communications rooms on the ground floor. 279 data and telecoms outlets supporting the administration and teaching staff in the school are linked to the first cabinet with another 181 users and wireless access points supported on the second cabinet. Connectix Category 5E Low Smoke Zero Halogen cable was used throughout the building, guaranteeing Gigabit Ethernet to each workspace. This was over-laid with 28 Procurve access points providing wireless network coverage throughout the campus.
